REPORT OF THE ROYAL COMMISSION ON ARSENICAL
POISONING.
This Commission was appointed on the 4th February, 1901, in consequence
of a serious epidemic in the latter part of 1900, due to arsenical contamination
of beer at numerous breweries, owing to the use of glucose or "invert" sugar
manufactured by a single firm at Gars ton, near Liverpool.
The report is an exhaustive one, and although of much importance and
interest, far too lengthy to discuss in detail. Those interested in the subject
should read the report as a whole.
