FISH SUPPLIES.
218,475 Tons of fish, of which 160,741 were land-borne and 57,734
water-borne, were received at or near Billingsgate Market during the year.
Of the above, 163,897 tons were consigned to Billingsgate Market, the remainder, viz., 54,578, being delivered at the salesmen's shops in the neighbourhood of the Market.

There was a slight falling off in the land deliveries, but the deliveries by
water again showed a marked increase, being 13,573 above the average for
the five preceding years.
