This Table is prepared in accordance with the requisitions of the Local Government Board.
SHELTER FOR TEMPORARY ACCOMMODATION
DURING DISINFECTION.
The establishment at Golden Lane, Barbican, was utilized for the first time
on the 11th March, 1901.
This Shelter is not intended for the use of the poor only. Any person
residing in the City is entitled to accommodation there whilst his home is
being disinfected, a provision of great value in preventing the spread of
infection.

Twenty-three families, comprising 26 adults [and 40 children, total 66 persons, were received and provided with lodging, food, and attendance during the disinfection and cleansing of their houses after
