The decline in the proportion of conscientious objectors during a year
when Small-pox was epidemic, is some indication of the little faith the
average anti-vaccinationist attaches to his own teachings when face to face
with the disease.
VACCINATION AND RE-VACCINATION.
The following is a copy of a Report on this subject presented to the
Sanitary Committee by your Medical Officer on the 28th January,
1902.
At your last Meeting it was referred to me to report upon the following
Resolution passed by the Board of Guardians for the Parish of Paddington:—
"That it is expedient that all powers and duties belonging to the
"Guardians in connection with Vaccination be transferred to the Public
"Health Department of the Borough Councils, so that all questions
"relating to public health can be dealt with by one Authority."
