(a) Includes days sick in both nursery and hospital.
(b) Number of children sick at any time during the whole period of two years whilst in the same block or the same nursery.
(c) Total number of illnesses experienced during the two years, i.e., a child having two illnesses is counted twice in this column.
(d) If a child moved from one block or floor to the other part of the nursery he/she is treated as a ' new ' person in that block but not in the overall figure for the establishment, hence the addition of the
numbers of persons by separate blocks or floors exceeds the total for the nursery.
