(b) This heading includes patients who still complain of poor health which, in
several cases, cannot be attributed to a thyroid condition. One of these patients
had a definite psychosis.
(c) These cases were well on discharge, but no reports have been received from
them.
(d) This is a case of a female, aged 28, who was seriously ill when admitted to
hospital. A preliminarv ligature of vessels was done, and at a second operation the
gland was dealt with. She is following her occupation (clerical), but complains of
recurrence of tachycardia, mental depression and nervous svmptoms. There is
regrowth of the gland to some extent, and she is being kept under observation.
