The following table shows that the London smallpox death-rate was in the decennium 189C1905
higher than that of any of the undermentioned foreign towns except Paris, Brussels and St.
Petersburg, while in 1906 Paris, St. Petersburg, Berlin and New York were the only towns where any
smallpox deaths occurred.
