Influenza, Bronchitis and Pneumonia.
The deaths attributed to influenza which in 1899 numbered 1,817 rose to 1,950 in 1900,
the corrected annual average for the preceding ten years being 1,462. The deaths attributed
to bronchitis in 1900 numbered 8,699, being 1,527 below the corrected annual average for the
preceding ten years; the deaths from pneumonia, however, were 848 in excess of this average,
and numbered 7,189.
The deaths from these diseases in the Registration County of London since 1889 have been as follows—
