POOD POISONING
Food Poison Notifications (corrected):-
1st quarter 19; 2nd quarter 6; 3rd quarter 10; 4th quarter 5.
Total 40 cases of which the agent was identified in 4, whilst in 36 the agent
was unknown.
Cases otherwise ascertained:-
Due to identified agents- outbreaks nil, cases nil.

UNSOUND POOD CONDEMNED AND DESTROYED
During the year 1963, the undermentioned unsound or diseased food was surrendered
by the owners and dealt with by the Pood Inspectors. Most of this was destroyed,
the remainder being used for pig food:-

Fruit and fruit products 1,385 lbs; 1 gallon
Milk products 154 lbs; 6 boxes
Flour and flour confectionery 52 lbs; 169 packets
Pickles, sauces, condiments 12 lbs.
Pats 30 lbs.
