POOD SAMPLING
584 samples (57 formal and 527 informal) were taken during 1961 and sent to the Public Analyst for chemical examination, of which 1 formal and 16 informal were found to be unsatisfactory. Details of the nature of all samples are shown in the following table:-

All unsatisfactory informal samples were followed by the taking of a formal
sample The formal unsatisfactory sample was of ammoniated tincture of Quinine,
which was deficient in ammonia A warning letter was sent.
