population constitution, the two elements being combined in indistinguishable proportions

Applied to St. Pancras the death rate of 12 84 per 1000 of population is adjusted by
the comparability factor of 1.02 to 13.09 per 1000 of population.
Causes of Death.
The principal causes of death as furnished by the Registrar—General are set out in the
following table.
As his figure for total deaths (2422) includes all deaths registered during the period
from 1st January to 31st December, it is in excess of the number (2408) compiled locally for
the period 52 weeks ending 29th December. The latter figure has been used in this Report
for statistical purposes.
