No charge is made for extractions, fillings or scaling, but the patients contribute what
they can reasonably afford towards the cost of dentures.

The work done during the year is summarised in the following table, the figures lor the previous year also being given for comparison:—

The following table shows the number and cost of the dentures supplied during the year:—

16 mothers paid the entire cost of two dentures each.
19 mothers paid the entire cost of one denture each.

The Societies who made contributions towards the cost of dentures were the Metropolitan
Hospital Sunday Fund, £28 0s. Od.; the Metropolitan Hospital Saturday Fund, £7 14s. Od.;
the Charity Organisation Society, £34 4s. 6d.; and various other societies, £7 17s. 0d.
The general supervision of the work, arranging appointments, recording attendances
and the collection of contributions, etc., is carried out by Miss M. E. Bibby, one of the
Council's Women Inspectors.
Dental treatment is also provided at the voluntary clinic, which is held at the St.
Pancras School for Mothers, see page 28.
The Centres held in connection with the University' College and Royal Free Hospitals
are also able to refer cases needing dental treatment to the Dental Departments of their own
Hospitals.
