Water Service.
The following notices have been received during the year from the Metropolitan Water
Board as to houses from which water has been cut off:—
1.—Empty 1
2.—Non-payment of Rates 4
Canal Boats Acts.
During the year Inspector Auger examined 10 canal boats, which were registered
for the occupation of 24 adults and 9 children, and were occupied by 19 adults and 7 children.
No notices were served.
A weekly inspection of the canal and wharves has been made, and the absence of a
greater number of boats inspected is due to the small number of registered boats using the
canal.
The Rag Flock Act, 1911.
No samples of rag flock were taken during 1924.
Rag and Bonk Dealers.
New by-laws made by the London County Council for regulating the business of the
above were sanctioned by the Ministry of Health in September, 1923. Some portions were
not to take effect until the expiration of a period of 12 months from the above date, and
therefore came into force during the past year.
Special visits were made to all persons engaged in this business, and their attention was
drawn to the new regulations.
