The Public Health (Milk and Cream) Regulations, 1912 and 1917.
The following is the Report of the Administration in connection with the above regulations
asked for by the Ministry of Health.

Nature of preservative in each case in column (6) and action taken under Regulations in regard to it:—
C. 157. Milk. 0.02 per cent. of boron trioxide, equal to 3.1 grains per pint of crystallised boric acid.
Proceedings taken under the Sale of Food and Drugs Acts for selling to the prejudice of the
purchaser. Fined £2, costs £1. 21st July.
No proceedings taken under the Milk and Cream Regulations.
A. 166. Cream. 0.119 per cent. of boron trioxide, equal to 0.210 per cent. of crystallised boric acid.
A. 167. Cream. 0.168 per cent. of boron trioxide, equal to 0.297 per cent. of crystallised boric acid.
A. 168. Cream. 0.088 per cent. of boron trioxide, equal to 0.156 per cent. of crystallised boric acid.
A. 169. Cream. 0.035 per cent. of boron trioxide, equal to 0.062 per cent. of crystallised boric acid.
A. 170. Cream 0.203 per cent. of boron trioxide, equal to 0.359 per cent. of crystallised boric acid.
In all of these cases an explanation was asked of and furnished (by letter) by the vendors, and
a warning letter addressed to the vendors by order of the Public Health Committee. No legal proceedings
were instituted.
