During 1913 the names of 52 purveyors of milk were added to the register..
One application was refused oil the ground that the premises (25, Redhill
Street) were unsuitable for the sale of milk therein.
Two prosecutions of unregistered persons carrying on the business of a milk-seller without being registered were undertaken in 1913, as follows: —

Ice-Cream Premises.
A list is kept of premises in the borough where ice-cream is made, and 491
premises are on this list.
These are regularly inspected during the ice-cream season. During the
year 289 visits were paid by the food inspectors to them.
Two prosecutions were undertaken under Sec. 42 of the London County Council (General Powers) Act, 1902, for failure to take proper precaution for the protection of ice-cream from contamination, as follows: —

Other Food Premises.
The number of inspections made of butchers' and fishmongers' shops, premises
where prepared meats (such as sausages, pies, tripe, cooked meat, etc.)
are made, marketing places, premises where fish is fried or cured, etc., will be
found in table 10 on page 112.
Lists of fried fish shops and fish-smoking places were given on pages
187-189 of the Annual Report for 1912. There were at the end of 1913 80
fried fish shops and 14 fish-smoking places in the borough.
