The 143 births in public institutions having been redistributed according to population, the number of births and the birth rate of each of the Sub Districts and of the District were as follows :—

DEATHS.
During the year 1910 the corrected total number of deaths from all causes
at all ages was 3,267, being 254 less than during the preceding year and 685
below the annual average of the preceding ten years. Per 1000 of the
population, the death rate was 13.8, compared with 14.8 in the previous year,
and an annual average of 16.6 in the preceding decennium.
The total number of deaths and the death rates in the Sub-Districts are set out below, 83 deaths from all causes not referable to any particular Sub-District being distributed according to population :—
