Metropolitan Borough of St. Pancras.
FIFTY-FOURTH ANNUAL REPORT
of the
MEDICAL OFFICER OF HEALTH.
Being the Report for the Year 1909.
To the Right Worshipful the Mayor, Aldermen, and Councillors of the
Metropolitan Borough of St. Pancras.
Mr. Mayor, Aldermen, and Councillors,
L—INTRODUCTION.
I have the honour to present to you the Fifty-Fourth Annual Report upon
the vital and sanitary condition of the -Metropolitan Borough of St. Pancras.
Although the Registration District of St. Pancras has remained practically
the same area since 185(5, except for a few adjustments of boundary described
in the Report for the year 1900, the changes in the areas of the Registration
Sub-Districts since the last mentioned date have been great.
Changes were made in 1900, at the census of 1901, and again in 1906, when
the two southern Sub-Districts were amalgamated. So that now the four
Registration Sub-Districts of St. Pancras, except for slight deviations of the
outer boundary, coincide with the four Parliamentary Divisions.
CENSUS.
The time is fast approaching for taking another decennial census, and the
Bill to be introduced into Parliament for this purpose is under consideration.
METEOROLOGICAL RECORDS.
Here follow the Meteorological Records for the year, as deduced from
observations made at Greenwich and at Camden Square.
