DEATHS.
During the year 1909 the corrected total number of deaths from all causes
at all ages was 3521, being 34 less than during the preceding year, and 575
below the annual average of the preceding ten years. Per 1000 of the
population the death-rate was 14.8, compared with 14.8 in the previous year,
and an annual average of 17.2 in the preceding decennium.
