SCARLET FEVER.
Towards the end of January an outbreak of scarlet fever occurred at the
Park Chapel Schools, Arlington Road, involving some 19 children, the majority
of whom sat in group in the same class-room. It was stated that the children
of this group played out of school with a child five years of age, living close by,
who, it was reported, was convalescent from a recent attack of measles; but it
appeared to have been quite probable that this was an unrecognised case of
scarlet fever.
