DEATHS.
During the year 1906, the corrected total number of deaths from all causes at
all ages was 3747, being 19 more than during the preceding year, and 629
below the annual average of the preceding ten years. Per 1000 of the population
the death-rate was 15.8 compared with 15.7 in the previous year, and an
annual average of 18.1 in the preceding decennium.

The total number of deaths and the death-rates in the Sub-Districts are set out below, 97 deaths from all causes not referable to any particular Sub-Districts, being distributed according to population:—

The Registrar-General in the Annual Summary gives the factor for correction
for sex and age distribution in St. Pancras as 1.0456, so that whereas in 1906
the crude death-rate was 15.8, the adjusted death-rate becomes 16.6, and the
15.11 of London becomes 15.88.
