During a part of the year I was engaged in work relating to the inquiry

included home visits, matters connected with the Conference held in June,
interviews relating to the association of voluntary with official effort, and
much statistical and clerical work.
Later I made an inquiry into the use of the cleansing baths by the children
of the Borough. A report on this subject has already been submitted to you.
Registers have been kept for the different classes of premises coming under
my inspection. Notifications and notices have been sent out as required.
