Generally.—Only 24 complaints of nuisances alleged to exist in Factories
and Workshops were received during the year and attended to. 8 complaints
of black smoke were also attended to during the temporary absence of the
Smoke Inspector. The general conditions of the Factories and Workshops
inspected during the year show a marked improvement on previous years. I
append a tabulated statement of work done.
