DEATHS.
During the year 1903, the corrected total number of deaths from all causes
at all ages was 3,829, being 653 less than during the preceding year, and 803
below the annual average of the preceding ten years. Per 1000 of the population
the death.rate was 16'2 compared with 18'9 in the previous year, and an
annual average of 19'3 in the preceding decennium.
