Of the four temporary Inspectors engaged on the 14th October, 1901,
namely, Messrs. Gentry, Williams, Lamble, and James, the three first secured
posts elsewhere, and were replaced by Messrs. Larter, Wilson, and Holmes,
the two first of whom also obtained posts elsewhere, and Messrs. James and
Holmes were appointed permanently on the 14th January, 1903.
