DEATHS.
During the year 1902, the corrected total number of deaths from all causes
at all ages was 4,482, being 162 more than during the preceding year, and 218
below the annual average of the preceding ten years. Per 1000 of the population
the death-rate was 18.9 compared with 18.1 in the previous year, and an
annual average of 19.6 in the preceding decennium.
