Metropolitan Borough of Saint Pancras.
F0RTY-SIXTH ANNUAL REPORT
of the
MEDICAL OFFICER OF HEALTH,
Being the Report for the Year 1901.
To the Right Worshipful the Mayor, Aldermen, and Councillors of the
Metropolitan Borough of St. Pancras.
Mr. Mayor, Aldermen, and Councillors,—
I.—INTRODUCTION.
I have the honour to present to you the Forty-sixth Annual Report upon
the vital and sanitary condition of the Parish and Parliamentary and
Metropolitan Borough of St. Pancras.
The two maps prefacing the Report show the areas of the Registration SubDistricts,
the one previous to 1901, the other at the Census of 1901. The
statistics of population, births, deaths, and diseases, relating to the SubDistricts,
refer to the areas shown upon the map dated 1901. Although the
new areas were not adopted by the Registrar-General until the end of the
first quarter, immediately before the taking of the Census, the statistics for
the first quarter have been retrospectively extracted and corrected from the
commencement of the year 1901.
THE CENSUS, 1901.
ST. PANCRAS.
Area.
The boundary of the Parish of St. Paucras was described in detail in the
Annual Report for 1899. The boundary of the Metropolitan Borough of St.
Pancras was described in similar detail in the Annual Report for 1900. It
now remains to describe the changes made in 1901 in the areas of the
Registration Sub-Districts contained within the boundary of the Borough,
which is also that of the Registration District.
