VI.—LEGISLATION.
Public Health (London) Act, 1891.—The provisions of this Act have already
been fully dealt with in the circular of the Local Government Board, the report to
your Health Committee, and the various summaries and criticisms of the press.
Customs and Inland Revenue Act. 1891, sec. 4.—This is an extension of sec. 26
(2) of the Customs and Inland Revenue Act, 1890, embracing houses up to a
rental of forty pounds a year.
Factory and Workshops Act, 1891.—Under the head of Workshops and
Factories the powers of your Vestry are set forth earlier in this Report, and are
contained in the Public Health (London) Act, 1891, rather than in the Factories
and Workshops Act, 1891, so far as concerns the Metropolis.
