RESPIRATORY DISEASES.

The Respiratory Diseases which numbered 874 in 1889 rose to 1147 in 1890, and further rose to 1307 in 1891, the incidence was as follows:—

VIOLENT DEATHS.
Violence was the cause of 200 deaths during 1891, the numbers for 1890 and
1889 being 165 and 177 respectively.
UNCERTIFIED DEATHS.
The uncertified deaths registered in St. Pancras were 5 in number, against 9
and 5, respectively, in the two previous years.
INQUESTS.
During the year 494 inquests were held, of which 477 were conducted in the
Coroner's Court. In the previous year the number was 448, of which 422 took
place in the Coroner's Court.
