Maternal mortality
One death occurred from accidents and diseases of pregnancy
or childbirth. This is equivalent to a rate of 0.20 per thousand live
and still births. The patient concerned, a 25-year-old expectant
mother, died as the result of pulmonary embolism complicating
phlebo-thrombosis of leg veins.
