Vision
In the majority of primary schools routine tests have been introduced
for children soon after entry. Although vision-testing of
young children requires a modified technique and additional staff
it is hoped that in due course the service will become available
in every school.
Visual acuity standards expressed as percentages of the numbers of children whose eyes were tested are set out in the following table:—
