Subjects discussed included immunization and the constant need
to ensure that as high a proportion as possible of schoolchildren
were fully immunized against diseases such as poliomyelitis, diphtheria,
tetanus and tuberculosis. In this context, the periodic
medical examinations of schoolchildren offer a good opportunity
to check that the pupils are fully protected.
