New Accommodation
For some years past, figures of new houses built in the Borough
by the Council, the London County Council and other persons have
appeared in this Annual Report. In this present report, the opportunity
is taken to present a picture of the housing development in
the Borough over the past 10 years. In the following table, figures
of new dwellings built by the Council, the London County Council
and private persons are shown and in future Annual Reports the
then current year's figures will be incorporated in the table to provide
a running record of the previous decade.

Unfit Houses Closed
Closing Orders were made in respect of parts of buildings as

In each case the owners had been invited to submit proposals to
render the premises fit for human habitation, but none were received.
