SANITARY INSPECTION OF THE BOROUGH
Sewerage
The arrangements for sewerage and sewage disposal in the district
are reasonably adequate although flooding has occurred in the
Borough due to surcharging of sewers following periods of heavy
rain.
A comprehensive sewer survey of the Borough which has been
made by the Borough Engineer and Surveyor's Department over the
past few years is now virtually complete and consequent upon the
findings of this survey, a start has been made on an extensive capital
works programme of sewer reconstruction.
