Infantile Mortality
There were 126 deaths of children under one year giving an infant
mortality rate of 22.7 per 1,000 live births. This compares with a rate
of 19 for the years 1958 and 1959.
For the ten years ended 1950 the average infant mortality rate was
35, while for the ten year period ending 1960, the average rate was 20.
