Tuberculosis. 47
Of the 229 deaths from Tuberculosis, 139 were males and
90 females. 199 deaths were due to Pulmonary Tuberculosis
and 30 to other forms of Tuberculosis. Further details are
given in Table XX.

In addition to these deaths, which were duly certified in
the returns as due to Tuberculosis, 31 persons previously
notified as suffering from Tuberculosis died during the year.
These deaths, however, do not figure in Table XX. for the
reason that:—
(a.) Six were certified as dying from diseases other than
Tuberculosis.
(b.) Twenty-five had previously moved outside the Borough
and died there, the death being credited to the area in which
it occurred.
The following Table gives figures for the last ten years,
showing both the number of deaths and the death-rate per 1,000
from Tuberculosis in the Borough.
