The total number of cases was 2,139 compared with 2,410
in 1935. This decrease is due to the fall which occurred in the
number of cases of Scarlet fever, Diphtheria, and Tuberculosis.
In 1935 there were 1,767 cases of these three diseases, but in 1936
the number was 1,578.
