Maternal Mortality.
Six deaths occurred from accidents and diseases of pregnancy
and one from Puerperal Fever,.giving a total of seven deaths after
childbirth. This is equivalent to a rate of 1.72 per 1,000 live and
still births, compared with 2.55 in 1935 and 1934.
Enquiries into all maternal deaths, which were commenced
in 1928 at the instance of the Ministry of Health have been continued.
