Vital Statistics.
The number of deaths shown on Table IV. does not agree with
that shown on page 106. The latter, which is prepared by the
Registrar-General, gives the number of deaths which were
registered during the calendar year, and the former the number
of deaths which occurred during the year. The figures shown
in Table IV. are used in the calculation of all the mortality rates
in this Report.
Table V. gives a comparative statement of the birth and
death-rates in the Borough for the past 10 years, together with
the same rates for London and England and Wales.
