Milk.
The following samples of milk were submitted for analysis:—
996 of whole new milk.
7 of separated milk.
18 of dried milk.
24 of condensed milk.
Of these 35 were reported against as being adulterated or
not up to Legal Standard. 13 contained extraneous water; 21
were deficient in fat; and one contained colouring matter.
Proceedings were taken in nine cases, and in 26 cases the
Public Health Committee, after considering the amount of adulteration
and the circumstances of sale, decided not to prosecute
the vendors, but to take further samples.
