At Springfield Infant Welfare Centre 14 needlework classes were
held in the spring, and a course of 10 Health lectures was given
in the autumn. The mothers from the Southfield and Fairfield
Infant Welfare Centres attended both these courses.
620 attendances were made by the Health Visitors to the Infant
Clinics, and 178 to the ante-natal clinics.
One of the Health Visitors is a member of the local committee
of each Infant Welfare Centre, and the Medical Officer of Health
is ex-officio a member of the General Council, whose function is
to co-ordinate the work of the Centres.
153 health talks were given by the Health Visitors during the
year.
