REPORT
of the Medical Officer of Health
for the Year 1922.
To the Mayor, Aldermen, and Councillors of the
Metropolitan Borough of Wandsworth.
Sir, Madam and Gentlemen,
I have the honour to present the Annual Report on the health
and sanitary condition of the Borough for the year 1922.
I regret to have to record that Dr. P. Caldwell Smith, who was
Medical Officer of Health since the formation of the Borough in 1901,
died on the 21st February, 1923.
Population.
The corrected population of the Borough at the middle of the
year was estimated to be 333,820.
Table I shows the population of each sub-district based on the
above estimation, compared with the Census population.
