No action has been taken with regard to unsound meat, and no carcases were condemned during the year. By far the greater proportion of the meat sold in the Borough has been inspected in the Central Markets before being sold to retailers.

116 boxes of Tomatoes ; one bag of Turnips; 4 tons and 11 cwts.
of Potatoes; three boxes of Apples; one crate of Bananas; five
cases of Pears; 24 tins of Peaches; five hampers of Wiches; five
trunks of Haddock; 763 lbs. of Cod; three baskets of Crabs; one
box of Herrings; one box of Whiting ; one box of Soles ; one trunk
of Skate; 22 lbs. of Hake; 88 lbs. of Beef; 312 lbs. of Pork; 600
Eggs, and 1,224 lbs. Chocolate were condemned at the request of the
owners, and the usual certificates granted.
