Compared with 1919 there has been an increase in the number
of cases of scarlet fever, diphtheria, enteric fever, puerperal
fever, erysipelas, cerebro-spinal meningitis, and ophthalmia
neonatorum, and a decrease of polio-myelitis, pulmonary tuberculosis,
and other forms of tuberculosis.
Compared with the corrected decennial average there has
been an increase in the number of cases of scarlet fever, diphtheria,
puerperal fever, and ophthalmia neonatorum, and a decrease
of enteric fever, erysipelas, cerebro-spinal meningitis,
polio-myelitis, pulmonary tuberculosis, and other forms of tuberculosis.
