MILK.
613 samples of milk were procured for analysis during the year.
73 or ii'9 per cent, were reported against as being adulterated
or not up to legal standard.
591 samples were purchased officially, of which 68 or 11.5 per
cent, were adulterated, and 22 samples purchased informally, of
which five or 22.7 per cent, were reported against.
51 samples were found to contain added water, 20 were deficient
in milk fat, and two were deficient in milk fat and contained added
water.
