Infant Visiting.
During the year the female Sanitary Inspectors have continued
the work begun in 1905 in visiting the homes where births had
occurred.
" We herewith submit a report of the visits among infants
during the year 1917.
" In June, 1917, an additional Health Visitor was appointed
solely for Infant Visiting in the North and South Wards of Clapham,
and a small part of Streatham, and the consequent re-arrangement
of the work permitted of more frequent visits to the homes.
" The total number of visits paid, including re-visits and
ineffectual visits was 9,288, compared with 8,212 in 1916. The
