Whooping Cough.
29 deaths, (two in Clapham, two in Putney, two in Streatham,
two in Tooting and 21 in Wandsworth), occurred during the year,
13 of these were infants under one year of age, five from one and
under two years, and 11 from two and under five years. The
death-rate was .09 per 1,000.
Disinfection of Schools.
During the year eight private schools in the Borough were
disinfected, on account of cases of Measles having occurred among
the scholars attending these schools.
Epidemic Influenza.
56 deaths, (eight in Clapham, nine in Putney, 23 in Streatham,
three in Tooting and 13 in Wandsworth), occurred during the year,
22 of these being of persons from 25 and under 65 years, and 28
over 65 years of age.
The death-rate was .18 per 1,000.
Diarrhœa.
78 deaths, 42 of males and 36 of females, occurred from all
forms of Diarrhœa and Enteritis during the year. 18 of the deaths
