The death-rate per 1,000 in the Borough was .15 compared
with .12 in 1914, .06 in 1913, and .06 in 1912, and .11 the decennial
average.
The Chart (facing page 42) shows the number of cases notified
during each week of the year.
The maximum number of cases, viz.—36, was notified in the
first week of November, and the minimum, viz.—three, in the
third week of May.
The total number of cases, viz.—723, is above the number for
1914, and also the decennial average, but there was no outbreak
of any special significance in any part of the Borough, with the
exception of two slight outbreaks, one in a school in Tooting in
October, and the other in a school in Wandsworth in October
and November. The latter is the subject of a special report which
appears on page 49.
