Table LXXXI. shows the number of factories, workshops,
domestic workshops, and workplaces on the Register at the close
of 1914, the number removed from, the number added during 1915,
and the number on the Register at the end of 1915. The number
of workrooms in workshops is also shown.
The factories and workshops are divided into dressmakers'
and milliners' premises, laundries, and miscellaneous premises;
and the workplaces are divided into laundries and miscellaneous
premises.
Of the 110 factories where women are employed, 73 are laundries
and 37 other factories, while of the total workshops, viz.:—471,
253 are dressmakers and milliners, 125 laundries, and 93 other
