Ages at Death.
The following Table shows the percentage of deaths to total
deaths at six age periods for each sub-district and for the whole
Borough.

Compared with 1913 the percentage of deaths under one year
was .79 lower ; from one and under five years .16 lower ; from
five and under 15 years 16 lower ; from 15 and under 25 years
.47 higher ; from 25 and under 65 years .07 higher; and from 65
years and upwards 129 higher.
There was a considerable diversity in these rates in the
different sub-districts.
In Putney the rate under one year was only 13.10 while in
Tooting it was 26.70 ; while over 65 years of age Tooting had a
rate of 19.91 and Streatham of 39.77.
At one and under five years the rate was lowest in Putney
and highest in Tooting, from five and under 15 years lowest in
Streatham and highest in Tooting, at 15 and under 25 years lowest
in Putney and highest in Tooting, at 25 and under 65 years lowest
in Tooting and highest in Clapham, and at 65 years and upwards
lowest in Tooting and highest in Streatham.
