Report of the Medical Officer of Health.
Proceedings were taken against a milk carrier for refusing milk
for analysis and a penalty of 40s. and costs or one month was
imposed.
Proceedings were also taken against a milk vendor for wilful
obstruction, but as the vendor absconded before the summons was
served the case was not dealt with.
It is satisfactory to report that not a single sample of milk
out of the 875 samples submitted was found to contain a preservative.
The following Table shows the number of milk samples taken,
the number found adulterated, and the percentage adulteration for
the past 10 years, compared with the year 1914.
